Test Equipment Radiodetection RD2000
Description
The Radiodetection SuperC.A.T TL is a higher frequency latest generation high performance underground service locator optimised for telecoms cable location, even in high congestion areas. Featuring multiple locate frequencies, the RD2000 SuperC.A.T TL range is aimed at tracing of telecoms and small diameter cables, such as twisted pair as it has a higher frequency range than the standard RD2000 Super C.A.T+ and the standard RD2000 Super C.A.T TL.
The high frequency version of the Radiodetection RD2000 Super C.A.T TL sets a new standard in advanced underground cable locating, with it's extra high frequency, but still keeps the familiar Radiodetection operation, and is even backwards compatible with older versions of Radiodetection C.A.T and Genny products.
The RD2000 SuperC.A.T TL cable and Pipe Locator is driven by a new signal processor and advanced software meaning performance levels usually reserved for very expensive locators are now within a wide range of budgets. The Super C.A.T TLcan even locate small signals even in areas of high electrical noise and congested utilities. As well as the familiar 33kHz signal, used for general underground service and utility location, such as mains cable and metallic services, Radiodetection have added other frequencies to the RD2000 Super C.A.T TL to make location of other underground utilities easier.
Multiple frequency selection give the operator an unprecedented level of flexibility. Both the 33kHz and 8KHz signal can be utilised for utility location either by direct connection or induction, and a very high frequency 131kHz signal is also selectable for locating small diameter services, such as telecoms, data cabling and control cable as well as small diameter cable location. Having a high freqency will allow the signal to couple to the most difficult cables and services, and matched with the lower frequencies, allows the RD2000 Super C.A.T TL to be used across a range of location applications.
The RD2000 SuperC.A.T TL kit is supplied complete in a carry bag comprising of transmitter, receiver, direct connect leads, earth stake, and 100mm induction signal clamp.
Features:
- Improved locate quality – Improved precision pinpointing of buried services and exceptionally fast sound and meter response.
- Increased usability in electrically noisy environments
- Multiple active frequencies – The ability to locate telecoms and small diameter services with the addition of a super high 131kHz frequency (as well as the familiar 33kHz and more selective 8kHz frequencies)
- StrikeAlert™ – Alerts the user to shallow power cables by flashing an alert icon and making a distinctive sound. It is switchable in accordance to customer wishes.
- User backup – User settings are stored each time the unit is switched off whether deliberately or accidentally.
- Calibration date ID – To allow the user to know when the SuperC.A.T should be serviced, the last calibration date can be displayed.
- Passive location – Provides a sweep for buried cables and pipes, detecting Radio and Power frequencies.
- Multiple Modes - Power, Radio, Line and Sonde for both fast and precise cable and pipe location.
- Automatic Depth - Whenever the SuperC.A.T can ascertain a depth reading, it is automatically displayed.
- Inductive Modes - Work with either an inductive signal clamp or by wireless signal coupling.
