Test Equipment Pearpoint P340 Flexiprobe

Test Equipment Pearpoint P340 Flexiprobe

Description

Designed specifically for high quality video inspection, the Pearpoint P340 CCTV inspection camera system comprises a weatherproof flexiprobe controller which displays colour footage in digital quality on an ultra-bright 8 inch TFT screen. With USB flash drive and compact flash storage options, along with PC connectivity for flexible data storage and comprehensive reporting capabilities. The controller for the P340 features an internal lithium-ion battery, which provides easy power for onsite drain and pipe inspections for up to a full day of typical usage, removing the inconvenience of using a mains power lead. This option reduces set up time and makes the Pearpoint P340 simple to use yet very powerful.
A fully sealed self levelling camera is supplied with a 60 metre long flexible reel, designed for accessing tight corners and also giving longer distances, making the P340 suitable for different applications and industries, from residential work to commercial use and specialist plant and utilities inspections.
The high resolution camera has a tough stainless steel construction in a compact design. With high resolution sensors and ultra bright white LED's a clearer picture can be obtained even when the camera is submerged in water up to 100 metres deep. The dully digital system provides precise control over inspections and recordings. Digital rotate, pan and zoom functions let you focus in on problem areas during live or recorded inspections. Video and still images can be recorded directly on to a USB memory stick or a Compact Flash Card for easy management and transfer of data. With removable data storage, and no moving parts ensures that valuable data is protected against shocks and impacts.
A ruggedised keyboard allows the operator to record high quality, full digital video with a single key press, which is automatically time and date stamped and logged against the job being worked on. Similarly, still pictures can be captured, inspected and filed at any point during the inspection with a single key press. Typically, an 8GB USB storage device is capable of storing up to 7 hours of high quality video, making the Pearpoint P340 inspection camera system a very powerful tool to undertake a wide range of drain and pipe inspections. To add further touches to the inspection, audio can be added to recordings via the optional headset and text commentary added using the splash proof keyboard. Up to 20 pages of text can be stored into the controller module.
Although the P340 controller weighs under 6.2kgs, the device is designed to operate in harsh weather conditions. Made from tough polypropylene housing, the controller module is designed to resist scuffs and impacts, while the weather sealing gives an IP53 rating with the covers open and while operating and IP55 with the covers closed, minimising dust or water ingress. The camera is designed to operate at up to 1100kPa of pressure, or the equivalent of 100 metres of water. With high resolution sensors and the latest generation of ultra bright LED's, the P340 camera is designed to give a crisp, clear picture in most pipe conditions. With a self levelling function and a sapphire window to protect it's lens, the P340 camera has a sensor which increases more than 35% higher horizontal resolution than it's predecessor. The camera also has a manual focus tool which allows the operator to adjust the focus of the camera to the correct pipe size, ensuring that even the smallest defects can be spotted.
The 60 metre long flexible reel onto which the camera is mounted has a built in 512Hz / 640Hz transmitter sonde on the rod termination, which allows you to pinpoint it's location and depth using suitable Radiodetection underground services locators. Using this function permits the location of the camera to be pinpointed, which means that if a defect is uncovered in an underground pipe or drain, a precise location can be marked on the ground above to ensure that any excavating or digging is performed in the correct location, reducing time and minimising the risk of any damage or expensive costs.
The P340 control module supports USB flash drive storage which makes it easy to save data. Simply plug either your own, or your customer's USB stick into the USB slot and start recording and storing inspection videos, images and observations directly into it. The USB stick can be connected to any PC for access to this data without the need for the P340 controller. The P340 controller organises work into "job" folders which are linked to the inspection being carried out, making review ans storage of images and videos straightforward. Jobs can be created quickly at the start of the first recording from the P340's easy to use and intuitive menu system and entering information about the client, site and survey details. Multiple surveys can be added to each site and different sites can be added to the same client. The built in reporting system can be used on site without the need for extra equipment, allowing reports to be produced on site directly from the P340 controller. Reporting is made easier thanks to the built in WRC, PACP or custom made defect code lists.
